Small Truck Hire on a Class 1 License, Perfect for Moving House and Removals
Our small trucks are late model, well maintained and Ideal for a 1 bedroom flat move, moving freight, removals, picking up extra furniture and much more. Most trucks will seat 3 passengers and are simple to drive with no special license required to hire. This class 1 truck is approximately 10m3 and also has the option of an automatic transmission and a tail lifter which makes moving heavy items such as whiteware a walk in the park.
Our Small Removal Truck Hire is available from our Handy New Zealand rental truck locations including Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North, Upper Hutt, Nelson, Wellington, Dunedin and New Plymouth.

Handy requires a full valid NZ, International or approved overseas driver’s licence to rent a vehicle. A full Car Drivers Licence is all that is required for most Handy vehicles
Driving a truck can be different to a car because its bigger, however all of the features work exactly the same. Please see Ensuring a Safe Trip for safety tips you should follow.
Yes all of our vans and trucks are automatic.
You are required to be at least 21 years old on a full car license to drive our vehicles.
In the unlikely event you encounter an emergency, you can call for 24 Hour Emergency Roadside Assistance, if the vehicle is not in a safe spot to do so, call the emergency services on 111 right away.
Simply call us in advance and we’ll make every effort to accommodate your needs, however your proffered vehicle or date may not always be available, so do this as soon as you can.

Standard insurance is included in the cost of the hire. Vehicles are covered by full comprehensive insurance with an excess payable. This excess may be reduced with an additional payment.
