Handy Rentals has been operating in Dunedin since 1994, commencing for moving. We provide high quality, safe and affordable cargo van and moving truck rental throughout the Dunedin area.
At Handy Rentals Dunedin we have a range of cargo vans for rent from small to large, we also have a modern fleet of automatic trucks you can hire on a standard car license, the rental truck range includes, small, medium and large trucks for hire and all have the option to come with a tail lifter. Handy requires a full valid NZ, International or approved overseas driver’s licence to rent a vehicle. A full Car Drivers Licence is all that is required for most Handy vehicles
Driving a truck can be different to a car because its bigger, however all of the features work exactly the same. Please see Ensuring a Safe Trip for safety tips you should follow.
Yes all of our vans and trucks are automatic.
You are required to be at least 21 years old on a full car license to drive our vehicles.
In the unlikely event you encounter an emergency, you can call for 24 Hour Emergency Roadside Assistance, if the vehicle is not in a safe spot to do so, call the emergency services on 111 right away.
Simply call us in advance and we’ll make every effort to accommodate your needs, however your proffered vehicle or date may not always be available, so do this as soon as you can.
