Handy requires a full valid NZ, International or approved overseas driver’s licence to rent a vehicle. A full Car Drivers Licence is all that is required for most Handy vehicles

Yes all of our vans and trucks are automatic.
You are required to be at least 21 years old on a full car license to drive our vehicles.
In the unlikely event you encounter an emergency, you can call for 24 Hour Emergency Roadside Assistance, if the vehicle is not in a safe spot to do so, call the emergency services on 111 right away.
Simply call us in advance and we’ll make every effort to accommodate your needs, however your proffered vehicle or date may not always be available, so do this as soon as you can.
